“My art work explores the relationship between representations and interpretations of human experience through an introspective lens. With pieces that are rooted in abstraction, my objective is to invite the viewer to generate new insights from both real and imagined existences. This intent is derived from my need to discover how fixed perspectives can be challenged by manipulating the aesthetic components of a piece in order to question the presentation of perceived truths.
Since childhood, I have been fascinated by the liberating nature of the creative expressions. With a foundation in improvisational methods, many of my art pieces commence as an interplay between medium and surface, soon becoming morphed into pareidolia and confirmation bias.
As subtle phenomena become transformed through reflection and comprehensive absorption, the viewer is left with a sense of wonderment for what is perceived and what is possible.“
